Web development frameworks are great and very useful things that can assist in developing easy to use and user friendly sites and applications. They provide convenient tools for creating and performing general tasks (for example, database access, templates and session management).
Moreover, some of frameworks have certain features for accelerating the process of web development such as Symfony which is considered by many web developers to be the best php framework at present.
Of course, there are many other interesting and worth mentioning frameworks (Zend, CodeIgniter, Django, etc). Every developer tries to find the one that suits his work most of all. But one should try al of them to define that his is the best.
